Fact: Solemn High Mass at St. Ann's was sublime!

Dear Readers.... I hope that you all got experience the Solemn High Mass offered at St. Ann's for the Feast of St. Anne.  It was an outstanding event... with His Excellency, Bishop Jugis assisting for the 2nd consecutive year (Long may He reign!).

Fact: Bishop Jugis to assist at upcoming Solemn High Mass at St. Ann's in Charlotte!

Dear Readers... wonderful news!  In reading the Catholic News Herald that was in my mailbox today, I saw two wonderful pieces of news:


1.  The Solemn High Mass for the Feast of St. Anne  on Thursday, July 26 has been confirmed for 7pm

2.  His Excellency, Bishop Jugis, is expected to be in attendance based on his published calendar


How wonderful this news is.  One might have thought (as I must confess I did) that last year was a one time event, but with His Excellency scheduled to come again this year, it shows wonderful support for the Mass in the Extraordinary Form by the Shepherd of the Church of Charlotte.

Pray, my dear Readers, that all this may come to pass as expected and planned.

Lastly, the online version of the Catholic News Herald has this wonderful article/interview with His Eminence, Raymond Cardinal Burke, on "Restoring the traditional Latin Mass" on the fifth anniversary of the promulgation of Summorum Pontificum by our Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI (Long may he reign!)

Grapevine: July 4th Time Change for Weekly Wednesday MEF at St. Ann's

Hello Readers... as most of you know, St. Ann's in Charlotte offers a regular, weekly Low Mass on Wednesday evenings at 6pm, following a 5pm Holy Hour. 

Word coming out of the Park Road Curia is that the MEF for Wedneday, July 4th will start a bit  earlier... Holy Hour beginning at 11am and Low Mass at 12 noon..

This is a one time change for the Independence Day holiday.

Don't forget about the upcoming Solemn High Mass on July 7th at 6.30pm to be offered at St. Ann's.
